介绍:
在海内外艺术设计教育同仁的支持下，具有悠久办学历史，华中地区最高美术学府，全国八大美术学院之一的湖北美术学院自2006年起成功举办了三届"东+西"大学生国际海报双年展，通过"东+西"系列学术交流活动的盛大召开，在海外及中国高等教育艺术设计领域产生了广泛的学术影响。

作为中国唯一的全球大学生国际海报双年展，2012年第四届“东+西”大学生国际海报双年展（中国·武汉）系列学术交流活动即将在北京和武汉全面展开。来自中国北京的何洁教授、德国莱克斯?德文斯基教授、中国旅美的设计教授陈放先生、来自比利时的国际平面设计联合会前主席基?施奥卡特先生、巴西的费利普?塔伯达教授等多元化的国际终评评委将围绕“城市·CITY”这一主题，展开一次东方传统文化与西方现代文化的交流与碰撞。我们将通过弘扬创新精神，致力于以国际先进设计创意理念和具有东方精神设计作品的融合与交流，共同推动中国艺术设计教育事业的发展。

2012年9月下旬宣布初评入围名单；
2012年10月下旬作品终评，宣布终评获奖名单；
2012年11月至2013年6月举行盛大颁奖及展览等系列文化交流活动；

主题：武汉WUHAN
要求：符合建设幸福武汉、生态宜居武汉、文明武汉以及国家创新中心、国家先进制造业中心和国家商贸物流中心的武汉城市发展定位，在设计中融入武汉特征元素，展现武汉深厚的历史文化底蕴、独特的自然地域优势，易于被不同地域和文化背景人士理解和认同。

参赛资格
参赛对象为国内外全日制大专院校设计专业在校硕士生、本科生、专升本、大专生和进修生（含2012届应届毕业生）。

提交作品要求：
1.每件海报或标识参赛作品均需提交数码打印的A4或11'x8.5'英寸样稿一份（无需装裱，每件海报系列作品不超过4张）反面张贴参赛表格A4打印稿及该打印稿的电子文档一份（含电子参赛表格）。电子文档应满足以下要求：以光盘方式提供可供网络发布、平面印刷的电子文件（50cm×70cm幅面，不低于300dpi），存储格式为JPEG或TIF。
2.参赛者需向组委会提交一份书面的知识产权确认书。确认书包含在参赛标签中，参赛标签和参赛表格请在“东+西”大学生国际海报双年展网站www.ewpb.net下载。

版权
参赛者的参赛作品必须是参赛者本人创作的作品，如作品发生知识产权或版权纠纷等，组委会将取消其参赛资格，并由参赛者承担后果。参赛者应保证组委会不会因使用参赛作品而产生任何版权或知识产权纠纷。国际评委拥有作品评选的绝对权利。组委会有权拒受任何对各国文化或道德有侵犯以及不符合参赛要求的作品，组委会及组委会各成员单位基于公益目的拥有对入选作品的展览、出版（含电子出版）、收藏的权利。

CALL FOR ENTRIES

INTRODUCTION
The “East + West” International College Students Poster Biennial is organized by Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, the top institution of higher education in art and design in Central China and one of the eight leading art academies in China. The Biennial aims to foster graphic design education and cultural exchange with other countries and regions. The previous 1st, 2nd and 3rd Biennials, held in 2006, 2008 and 2010 respectively, were successfully organized and well received by the design students, educators and professionals both at homeland and abroad.

With the central theme of “city”, the 4th “East + West” International College Students Poster Biennial (Wuhan, China) is to be staged in 2012, plus a series of academic exchange events to be held both in Beijing and Wuhan. The international jury consists of members with diversified cultural backgrounds, including Prof. HE Jie from China，Prof. Lex Drewinski from Germany, Prof. Fang Chen from the United States，Mr. Guy Schockaert from Belgium, Prof. Felipe Taborda from Brazil.

I. Entry Categories for the 4th “East + West” International College Students Poster Biennial 2012 (Wuhan, China)
i. Thematic Poster: City
Contestants need to express their point of view on the theme “City” and present a new graphic approach to represent the meaning of the word from one of the following perspectives:
1.city and bridge
2.city and environment
3.city and culture
4.city and Wuhan
5.any other concerning the theme “city”
ii. Free subject Poster
1.Ideological posters -- works concerning universal themes, condition of man, civilization problems, social and political actions;
2.Cultural posters -- promoting culture, art, education and sport;
3. Advertising posters -- promoting services, commodities and business.

II. Entries for Wuhan City Logo Design by College Students 2012
i. Theme: Wuhan
ii. Requirements:
Aiming at building Wuhan as the National Innovation Center, the National Advanced Manufacturing Center and the National Commercial Logistics Center,
Wuhan Government is also planning to construct a Happy Wuhan, Eco-Livable Wuhan and Civilized Wuhan.

In addition to the above positioning of the city development,
the characteristic elements of the city of Wuhan shall be reflected in the design of the Wuhan city logo,
including its rich history, cultural heritage and unique geographical advantages.

Chinese Yuan (CNY) 1000 cash, plus a certificate, for each of the five winners.

PARTICIPATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The “East + West” International College Students Poster Biennial is open to all undergraduate and graduate students of art colleges and universities.
2. Entries accepted from individual students as well as groups of students. Number of works submitted is unlimited.
3. Entry work should be printed on A4 paper or in the size of 11×8.5 inches, landscape or portrait (mounting not required). Works submitted must be accompanied by Entry Form and Entry Label filled in print letters. One label per work must be attached to the back of the work with adhesive tape. Make a copy of the Entry Form if necessary.
4. A full-colors catalogue will be published for the Biennial. In order to be reproduced for the exhibition and catalogue, all entries should be supplied with their electronic versions on a CD or a DVD. The files should be compatible with Mac OS or Microsoft Windows. 
Image dimensions: 50cm × 70cm, TIFF or JPEG formats, resolution no less than 300 dpi (CMYK).

COPYRIGHTS
1. Entries should be creations of the entrants. All matters regarding design copyright of the entry will be at the responsibility of the entrant.
2. The organizing committee could disqualify the entrant if there were any intellectual property or copyrights problems or conflicts about the entry work.
3. Please note that all submitted works and CDs/DVDs remain in the “East + West” Biennial collection and are not to be returned. The organizing committee has the right to exhibit and publish biennial works for non-commercial purposes. The author must sign the entry form, which indicates his/her acceptance of the terms and conditions of the contest.
