美国独立动画家，达特茅斯大学电影学院教授。曾代表美国动画工作者在世界动画协会（ASIFA）担任常务理事十二年，其中连续六年担任ASIFA副主席，并且作为评委会成员到世界各地参加活动。他身兼数职并应邀为渥太华电影节工作。1987年，大卫执导并协调多国艺术家合作的动画影片《学院领导的变奏》获得戛纳国际电影节短篇奖，1988年，曾担任第一届上海国际动画节选片委员会的主席。

David.G.Ehrlich is an independent animator in America, professor of the film academy school in Dartmouth College. He has been the executive member represented USA in ASIFA for 12 years, deputy President in ASIFA for 6 years, member of judging panel. He was invited to Ottawa International Animation Festival. In 1987, he co-directed the film<School leader’s variation>which won the Cannes International Film Festival Short Film Award with artists all over the world. He was the president of judging panel in the first Shanghai International Animation Festival in 1988.
