José Albergaria co-founded and worked in the studio ‘Barbara says’ in Lisbon before arriving in Paris in 1999. Together with ‘Barbara Says…’ he has been working on projects like the magazine ‘Arquitectos’ (the order of Portuguese architects), the cultural guide/magazine ‘Flirt’, and the gallery ‘Zé dos Bois’. In 2000 Albergaria met Rik Bas Backer. They decided gradually to work together on projects. In 2003 they started working under the name ‘Change is good’.
Jury member in 2004 for the Student competition of the Chaumont poster festival and in 2008 for the Art school of Rennes,. Conferences at the École des Beaux-Arts of Rennes, the École des arts décoratifs of Paris, l’Espace Paul Ricard, Paris, and at the Escola de Belas Artes of Porto.
