日本讲谈社漫画学院校长，1974年进入(被录用)讲谈社《周刊少年Magazine》编辑部，此外还曾担任《おともだち》《げんき》等幼儿杂志编辑以及幼儿杂志编辑局的负责人。2010年出任讲谈社漫画学院学院院长。

Abe Keietsu was engaged in the editorial office of Weekly Teens Magazine, which is published by Koudansha. Besides that, he also was the editor of children’s magazine, such as Friends and Vigor. He has been the responsible officer of children’s magazine editorial bureau until becoming the representative school director of KFS in 2010.
