Welcome to the UCE Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD). BIAD is one of the foremost centres for art, design and media education in the United Kingdom. We are proud of a tradition of arts education that dates back to the foundation of the Birmingham School of Design in 1843.

The creative industries play an important role today in the cultural and economic life of the country. We believe that we provide our students with the skills and knowledge relevant to contemporary creative practice. Our graduates have an excellent record of employment and achievement. Our enthusiastic staffs are engaged in research and professional practice, and the faculty hosts a major programme of industry related projects.

It is a truth that BIAD graduates have a tradition of excellent achievement record, benefiting from an education which is relevant to the requirements of the next century while retaining the values of tradition. I am very happy that more Chinese students can now embark on this rewarding pathway by taking AIVA courses, and two partners both share these education aims.

Congratulations to AIVA from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD). We are proud of association with AIVA, and fully endorse their Art and Design Foundation course launched.
